Cuban stereotypes

Cubans smoke a lot of tobacco

This is a popular stereotype because even the nicest "puros" are from Cuba, but they actually don´t have a high smokers rating, there are many programs in Cuba for smoking but it really isn´t a big health problem.

Cubans tend to immigrate to the USA.

This is a true stereotype because the rate of immigration from Cuba to the USA is really high, people tend to think that Cubans sooner or later will end up in the USA and for the same reasons as many Mexicans, they end up doing so.

Cubans are rude people

This is a really weird stereotype, Cubans are actually really nice, happy and lovable people, but they tend to be really loud when speaking and people often think that´s because they´re angry or trying to overshadow others, but actually that´s something Latin Americans does a lot.

Cubans are always using "guayaberas"

As a Mexican person, I can understand this stereotype, people tend to think that our traditional clothing is what we wear every day, like us with the "sombrero", something similar happens with the guayaberas.
They actually do use them but not every day, they dress like the rest of the world and sometimes they use the "guayabera"
